Dr Manoj Kumar Agarwal is currently Professor and Head, Department of Economics, University of Lucknow. He is also Director, Population Research Centre and Director, Institute of Development Studies; University of Lucknow. He has a teaching and research experience of around 35 years. He has been awarded, Junior/Senior Research Fellowship by the University Grants Commission for his Ph.D. He has been awarded several international fellowships like Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship and he worked at the Institute of Development Studies, University of East Anglia, U.K. during 2006. He worked as a Visiting Professor at Department of Economics, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka during 2010-11. He has also visited several other countries and worked there. He has published large number of research papers in national and international journals. Prof Agarwal has published fourteen books on various economic issues and also on Economic Philosophy of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Vedic Gyan Vigyan. He has special interests in the development issues of the Indian economy among other areas.
