  • Dr Urvashi Arora 7/7/2023

The book titled ‘ Introduction to Graph Theory' is a commendable effort done by three eminent mathematics faculty members of Delhi University, namely, Dr Mamta Chaudhary, Dr Vani Sharma and Dr Pooja Yadav. The book has been carefully authored to cover the course content of the undergraduate academic courses related to Graph Theory, not only for Delhi University, but for many other Universities too. The contents which include theory, related examples, unsolved questions ,illustrations etc. have been presented in a systematic way. The systematic style of the book is quite evident, even before one starts reading it, from the snapshot of the whole book, present in the beginning of the book. Chapter contents are self explanatory as they are supported by lot of examples, graph diagrams, notes and useful remarks. The concepts have been explained in a lucid manner and the book has a fine print which makes it a treat not only for mind but for eyes as well. The book has eight well written chapters which are followed by important solved questions, miscellaneous questions and a collection of previous question papers. All in all the book is definitely an academic asset related to graph theory suitable for both undergraduate students as well as teachers.
